Thanksgiving

Sorry I have not blogged in about a month. We had a great Thanksgiving at my mom's. All eight grand kids were there so it was wild. We had lots to eat then we just sat around visited and watched the Cowboys, as usual. The pictures are from Maddie's Thanksgiving program at school, Thanksgiving Day and just random shots of Mary Claire. She will be 5 months old Saturday and she is still a wonderful baby . I never dreamed I would have a blue eyed baby! Until next time!

Bad Blogger

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. We stay busy busy busy! Here's what's been going on. Flint and Maddie went to the Fall Festival at our church Sunday. Maddie was a clown which happens to be the same clown costume I wore when I was 3. My precious grandmother made it for me. Flint is a Army Man. He loves this costume and plays in it all the time at home. Today at school Maddie dressed up as little Miss Muffet because they had to be a character from a nursery rhyme.

The picture of Kearby and Maddie is from the day Maddie walked in our room and handed Kearby some make-up and said "Daddy make me look like a princess." So I must say he did a great job putting make-up on.

Flint has lost both of his front top teeth. He really will be asking for his 2 front teeth for Christmas. He is doing great in 1st grade and reading so well. He is a great student and very much of a perfectionist when it comes to his school work.

Mary Claire is growing so fast. She will be 4 months old tomorrow and is sleeping 12 and 13 hours at night. All 3 of my babies have been good but she is the best of all.

Things are going great at the Herrington's house and we give God all the glory!

Rainbow, Bumbo and Reading

Here are some pictures I have taken of the kids this week. Maddie and Mary Claire wore their matching Fall dresses to church Sunday. Monday afternoon Maddie came running in the house and said " Daddy, Daddy hurry outside there is a rainbow in the sky!" Flint brings a book home from school everyday to read and he has to read it 3 times before he can test on it. Usually he reads it to Maddie after he reads it to me. Finally, last night I put Mary Claire in her Bumbo seat for the first time and she loved it! Have a great weekend and thank God for the cooler weather !

Trike-a-thon

Maddie's school had a trike a thon yesterday to raise money for St. Jude. Her daddy bought her a new tricycle Monday with a pink horn. We can't keep her off of it. It looks like she will be moving up to a bicycle by Christmas. The little boy in the picture with Maddie is Hudson Hale, Jessica's little boy.

Frogs and Tea Party

Well we have been busy busy lately. Flint loves 1st grade but has a lot more homework this year. He is amazing me how well he reads and I can already tell Math will be his strong subject. I am very proud of him. Maddie loves pre school. At home she is always playing pretend. She is either going to Wal-Mart with her baby or being the teacher at school. She went to her first dress up tea party Saturday and when her daddy got home from Dallas the next day she told him she is going to have a "teacup" party for her birthday. Mary Claire is sleeping through the night most nights and is still a wonderful baby. Kearby told me to get the camera the other night because he got a frog out of the tub. I am loving this time of year. It feels so good to be back on a routine. God is good :) Have great week.

My Girls

Mary Claire went for her 2 month well check today. She weighs 10 pounds 11 1/2 ounces and is 23 inches long. She did great considering she had to get 4 shots. She is sleeping through the night as of about 2 weeks ago. She is a wonderful baby and the perfect addition to our family. The pictures of her asleep on Maddie's bean bag is how I found her when I returned from grocery shopping and she was spending the evening with her daddy.

Maddie got a "credit card"for Target from my Aunt Jo Jo. Monday morning she woke up and said she wanted to go to Target and spend her credit card and this little trendy outfit she has on in the picture was one of the many things she bought with her card. Needless to say I had to contribute to her "credit card". I am not complaining she gets her spending habits honestly. The same night I found Mary Claire in the bean bag I found Maddie in my bathroom painting lotion on her face. Just a typical night at the Herrington's :)

Back to life back to reality

School is back in session. Flint started 1st grade. He got a wonderful teacher who we go to church with which is an answer to prayers since parents can no longer teacher request. He isn't thrilled about getting up every morning but for the most part he likes school. He is staying busy playing fall baseball. He doesn't know it yet but he is also going to be busy doing homework (there's a lot in 1st grade from what I hear).

Maddie started 3 year old preschool and she goes 3 mornings a week and can take her lunch and stay for the afternoon on any of those 3 days. She as start her first after school activity this year. She takes gymnastics or as she calls it "tnastics" every Wednesday afternoon. As you can see in the pictures she is very proud of her leotard.

Mary Claire will be 2 months old Saturday. She is still a wonderful baby and actually slept from 9:00 pm until 4:00 am last night. I actually feel some what rested.

Kearby had a little procedure done last week so we are now sure Mary Claire is the caboose. He is recovering and hasn't complained at all. I am very proud of him. He is moving into his new office in Texarkana this week and will be working there most of the time starting next week.

I am just trying to get myself back on a routine and adjust to life with 3 kids. I realized after Mary Claire was born I don't require as much sleep as I thought :) I am still wondering when all this baby weight will come off. My mom tells me after the third it never comes off but I beg to differ! Have great week!

Owen and Barbie teeth

My nephew Owen came over to play yesterday. He is 14 months and we love to play with him. He is such a love! Today Maddie, Mary Claire and I had to be in Mt Pleasant at 9 a.m. to get her new "Barbie" teeth. We go to a pediatric dentist in Mt. Pleasant who is wonderful. His name is Dr. Kenny Thompson and I highly recommend him if anyone in the area needs a children's dentist. Maddie knocked her teeth out at the beginning of the summer and she calls her new teeth "Barbie Teeth". I hope everyone has a good week. :)

Lunch Date, Daddy Time and Murphy

Here are a few pictures from this week. Our dog is a Shih Tuz and his name is Murphy. He is so good and the kids love playing with him. The picture of Kearby and the 3 kids is to show you how it is when he gets home from work, they attack him! Today Flint's little "girlfriend" Hannah called and invited him for lunch and to play at her house. Hannah's mom was so sweet to invite Maddie to go also.

New Blogger

My friends have inspired me to start blogging. I enjoy looking at their blogs so much and since I have a new digital camera and a new baby I thought this would be a good time to start. So I will start my blogging by telling you what we have been up to this summer.
About a week after school was out Flint was selected to be on the All-Star baseball team. They practiced every day and which was quiet challenging for me since I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and HOT! At the end of June they breezed through the district Tournament undefeated. Then it was back to practice because on July 6th they were to travel to Houston to compete in the state Tournament. Did I mention in the meantime on July 1st I gave birth to our third child Mary Claire Herrington. Then six days later Flint and Kearby left for Houston. The tournament lasted a week and they were wining every game. So when Mary Claire was 10 days old we loaded up headed to Houston to watch FLint's team win the State Championship.

At the beginning of the summer Maddie knocked her 4 front teeth out on my mom's tile floor. You may notice she doesn't have front teeth in most of the pictures. She is getting her new teeth as soon as the dentist gets them ready. She is a very active 3 year old to say the least. She keeps us on our toes. When you tell her not to do something she looks at you and says "yes I are."

Mary Claire is a great baby. I am nursing and she eats about every 3 to 4 hours and has even gone 5 hours at night. We have all enjoyed her so much.

Kearby is very busy at work and his uncle (who he works with) is opening a 2nd office in Texarkana where Kearby will be working most of the time. They are very excited about getting that started.

Here are some pictures from our summer. My goal is to blog about once and week to keep you informed on what's going on in our busy life. Enjoy!
